Council members will be given $50 a month for use of paper, ink and Internet regarding town business.
The motion was passed at last weeks council meeting – but not without a difference in opinions.
Councillor Anna Vukovic has chosen to not make her e-mail address available to the public.
Vukovic says her e-mail address is her personal e-mail and does not need to be public knowledge.
In a heated debate Councillor Art King was against Vukovic’s opinion.
King says members of the town have a right to e-mail council members as they are public representatives.
Vukovic says she has a public phone number – but her e-mail address will stay private at her own choice.
She added $50 does not usually cover the cost of ink cartridges used a month for town business.
The motion was passed 7 to 2.
