Bruce Grey District 27 senior games coordinator Ian Rutherford says there are 27 athletes headed for Brockville for the games, Wednesday to Friday (Feb. 11-13).
Rutherford says the majority of the seniors make up the Owen Sound hockey club, but there are competitors for alpine and cross country skiiers; curlers and badminton as well.
He says the whole idea of the event is to keep seniors active and to provide some competitions to decide the best senior athletes in Ontario who may go on to the Canadian Senior Games.
Rutherford said registration in Brockville takes place Wednesday night with competitions beginning Thursday and continuing into Friday.
Friday night will be the medal awards and closing ceremonies.
