Michael Barrett served as Acting CEO of the South West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) after the departure of Tony Woolgar.
South Bruce Grey Health Centre CEO Paul Davies says Barrett has good judgement and shows mutual respect when meeting with the other hospital CEO’s from across the region.
Davies says he’s been assured by Barrett that the LHIN board will give swift approval to allowing the construction of the new Brockton Family Health Team building adjacent to the South Bruce Grey Walkerton site.
Davies says smooth approval is likely because plans are in their final stages and the government is currently anxious to encourage infrastructure building projects.
He says projects like the Walkerton building will keep people employed so he sees no reason for the approval process to be dragged out.
