The municipality is raising the official Olympic Flag at the intersection of Yonge and Jackson Streets in Walkerton at 11 o’clock this morning.
It is the first of several events that will mark the Olympic torch run this year.
The torch will make its way to Walkerton on December 28th and 10 local residents will be able to carry the torch.
Residents are also encouraged to take part in the “Let’s Make Some Noise Event” next Thursday.
You can honk your horn, ring sleigh bells, sing or beat drums as part of a Nationwide event at 6 o’clock local time.
