Marsha Leggett has announced she will introduce a motion at the next council meeting to have a complete organizational and operational review conducted by an outside firm.
Leggett says some Councillors feels “a fair bit of money” is given to municipal managers and staff and they want to make sure they’re getting an acceptable return for what is being spent.
She says in some areas, extra personnel might not be needed, while there is a need in others and the review process will identify any restructuring that has to be done.
Leggett says the review wouldn’t just be for staff.
She wants the firm to take a close look at council and identify what it might be doing wrong.
Leggett says it could show Kincardine Council operates well or will make recommendations on any improvements that should be made.
