The peer review and market study addressed population growth in the area, and the demand for an additional grocery store on the cities’ East side.
Owen Sound Resident, Christie Hempel presented a report to council about the damages the expansion could have on the commercial and downtown sector.
Hempel feels there are some discrepancies in the data presented by Walmart, and the peer review.
Lovell Stanners says it’s important to look at all arguments before making a final decision.
Council will consider all reports before voting at the next meeting
