Saugeen Shores police say one of their officers was assisting on Highway 21 near North Bruce, during a snow streamer that was reducing visibility to near zero.
The officer was at a crash scene when a southbound vehicle rear-ended the cop car.
The officer and one of the persons involved in an earlier accident were in the cruiser.
The police constable suffered minor injuries and was treated at hospital and released.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the police cruiser has been charged by OPP under the highway traffic act.
