On Thursday, Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb got up in the House of Commons to speak to the budget that was presented earlier in the week.
Lobb tells Beach News he had done his homework before speaking and he thought it went well.
He says he focussed on issues such as the Southern Ontario Development Agency and the Agriflex program which he says are very important to the riding.
Lobb says he was asked one question by the opposition which he answered on unemployment insurance.
Lobb says he requested the opportunity to speak and was granted the permission.
He says he’s enjoying his time in Ottawa and says like any new job, if you keep your nose to the grindstone good things will happen.
Lobb says there’s been no surprises so far.
