Crabby Joes Tap and Grill in Port Elgin had its official opening yesterday, on the first anniversary of being in business in the community.
Owner/operator Ian Cumming, at a special reception for the event, says the first year has been a whirlwind and only now did they have time to plan their official opening as well.
Cumming introduced at the ribbon cutting the all new Joe’s Grill Menu, which will feature Bruce County beef.
The new grill section is exclusive to Crabby Joe’s in Port Elgin and in Hanover and will complement the existing menu.
Cumming says the trend now is create a menu using locally grown products and he wanted his outlets to support local farmers.
He says he’s humbled by the wave of support his stores have received from Saugeen Shores and Hanover.
Cumming says he hopes Crabby Joe’s will become more and more a part of the communities it serves.
Government and local dignataries were on hand for the official opening at the Port Elgin location.
