Maggie’s back in town, Maggie’s Bakery that is.
Co-Manager Jamie Cornelius says her parents ran the former bakery/deli in Port Elgin, three years ago, and have re-opened it.
It’s located beside her parent’s restaurant Monty’s Place in the old Adreneline Ink Tatoo parlour on Goderich Street.
Cornelius says the opportunity came up to re-open, so they took it.
She says the bakery will be open starting at five in the morning until three in the afternoon weekdays.
Cornelius says now, early morning risers, and those who work before six AM in the area have a place to get a great variety of fresh baked goods and coffee.
The store carries, everything from baked bread, tea biscuits, muffins, scones, tarts, and cookies to sandwiches and beverages.
The bakery opened it’s doors for the first time yesterday.
