The President of the Ontario Federation of agriculture looking for good things in todays budget for the farming community not just in Ontario but Grey Bruce as well.
Betty Jean Crews tells Bayshore Broadcasting News they have contacted Agriculture Minister Ritz outlining funding promises from recent months, including the last election campaign.
She says the OFA is expecting a favourable response from the budget.
Crews says agriculture in Ontario makes a huge contribution to the countrys economy and we need sound and prudent investment by the Federal Government to grow that contribution.
She says the Federal government should consider the infrastructure needs of the agricultural sector as well as the manufacturing sector in the budget.
Crews says farm businesses rely on sound infrastructure to help drive the rural economy and the OFA wants assurance that rural Ontario gets its fair share of needed infrastructure spending.
