Kincardine Mayor Larry Kraemer is taking a cautious approach to Tuesday’s federal budget.
He says the municipality does have some capital projects he’d like to see completed, but he’d still rather see a balanced federal budget instead of large deficit spending.
Kraemer says he has mixed feelings about the budget. He says if the government announces a lot of capital and infrastructure spending, he’ll welcome it as Mayor, but as a private citizen, he’d rather see a balanced budget.
Kraemer says he’s taking a cautious approach because infrastructure spending is great, but if it’s done at a deficit, everyone will still be paying for it later.
