Temperatures will start dropping after 7 tonight, until we reach -18, and the high for the weekend event is only -14.
The 30th annual event runs today through tomorrow.
Sauble Beach Chamber of Commerce President Becky Knight says events tonight (FRI) include the Torchlight Parade and the Christmas Tree Burning Ceremony.
Funds will also be raised for youth events and music programs through the annual Wake Up Willie Battle of the Bands.
Knight says the day begins with a pancake breakfast from 8 til 11.
After that, there you can take in the indoor hospitality room, children’s outdoor and indoor activities (12-3), the Diesel Dan Memorial Road Hockey Tournament (10a-3p) and the Winterfest Dance (9p-1a)
You can also enjoy concession booths from 11 til 5 and and Outdoor BBQ (10:30a-3p)
Knight says outdoor games tomorrow begin at noon and include Bubble Gum Blowing, Ski Races, Sack races, Obstacle Course, Hula Hoop Contest & Jello Eating.
