Area health practitioners have been alerted to a confirmed case of influenza B in an area resident.
It is a bit late this year.
Last season the first case in Grey Bruce was discovered on December 24th of 2007.
Grey Bruce health unit Public health nurse Amanda McManaman says getting the flu shot can protect you, or at least lessen the severity of the symptoms if you get the flu.
It takes 2 weeks to become effective but she says it’s not too late.
