Bruce Peninsula OPP say the incident happened last Tuesday night on the way home from school on a school bus.
Police say an investigation revealed a 14 year old was burned twice with a cigarette lighter by a 16 year old.
OPP have since charged the 16 year old male from the Town of South Bruce Peninsula with assault with a weapon.
He will answer to the charges in Owen Sound youth court February 17th.
