37 year old Peter Robertson was out on the trails Saturday night when the collision occured.
The Huron OPP is investigating the cause of the accident.
This marks the first death in Huron County of 2009.
The OPP is reminding snowmobilers to check the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs website to see what trails are open, as there are still poor conditions on some.
