25 year old Robert Thompson pleaded guilty to two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
He was sentenced to six months in jail on top of the 49 days in served behind bars during pre-sentence custody.
Thompson is also banned from owning weapons for life.
He was charged in October after a police raid at a home on 3rd Avenue East where officers seized almost nine thousand dollars in marijuana and crack cocaine.
