Police say a horse and buggy was southbound on Grey Road 3 near Desboro around 7:30 yesterday morning when it was hit by a northbound car.
Police allege the car was trying to pass another vehicle when the crash occurred.
The two young men on the buggy — a 16 and 17 year old — were thrown onto the road but they were not seriously hurt.
The horse broke free and fled to a nearby residence.
A 28 year old man from Walkerton has been charged with making an unsafe pass on the road.
