Caledon OPP continue to probe the shooting death of Ariel Besley of
Brampton. His body was found in the Town of Caledon back in May of last year.
Police recovered the gun used in the murder during an arrest by Peel
Regional police on May 29th.
Roy Terrence Rousseau was arrested after a short foot pursuit during
which the gun was used to shoot at police. Rousseau was shot and wounded
by police.
Tests confirmed the handgun used to shoot at police is the same weapon
used to murder Ariel Besely.
The handgun is in Canada illegally from the USA.
The investigation into the murder of Ariel Besley has expanded to
include numerous cities in Ontario, including Caledon, Brampton,
Hamilton, Orangeville, Shelburne, Owen Sound and surrounding areas.
