Nicholas Girard, Senior Communications Advisor, for the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency says everyone is welcomed to comment on the impact statement.
Girard says the environmental impact statement or EIS is intended to inform regulators and the general public about the project and its anticipated effects, if any, on the environment.
He says they’re asking the public to look at the statement and see if it adequately addresses all the requirements that were identified in the EIS.
You have from now until next May to submit any written comments.
Girard says the Joint Review Panel will take all submissions into consideration before they announce the start of public hearings down the road and before they assess the validity of the impact statement provided by Bruce Power.
If you have a comment you can log onto the Canadian Environmental Assessment Registry at www.ceaa-acee.gc.ca reference number 07-05-25738.
