Power has been almost totally restored to affected local Hydro One Customers after Sunday’s brutal wind storm.
Only two customers were out in the Owen Sound area as of 6pm.
Meanwhile, Hydro crews are still restoring power to thousands of customers across Ontario, three days after high winds smashed across the province.
The hardest hit areas were north of us, in the Bracebridge, Huntsville, Parry Sound and Bancroft areas.
Some of those areas will be welcoming 2009 in the dark though, as power won’t be back on until the end of the week.
At one point almost a quarter of a million customers in Ontario were left without power on Sunday.
