2008 was a big year for Huron Bruce and MPP Carol Mitchell is hoping 2009 will be even bigger.
Looking back, the Liberal MPP has recalled several initiatives that she is looking forward to seeing grow in the future.
Mitchell She say some of the major things to note are having Bruce Power site secured for 63-hundred megawatts of more renewable energy as well as the Bruce to Milton power line.
Mitchell said it is also nice to see the Ethanol Plant project back on track in Hensall.
However, looking back on ’08, Mitchell says the obvious thing to talk about was the International Plowing Match in Teeswater.
She says Bruce County was a great host and she still gets compliments from people about how great the event was.
As far as 2009 goes, Mitchell already has a major project in mind.
After attending an environmental legislators conference in Washington, Mitchell says she would like to see some work on the great lakes.
Aside from seeing the shorelines expanded, Mitchell says she would also like to see more development and more environmental work done.
