Manager of System Reliability Pat Protomanni says it was back on for most by 9 or so last night. (SUN)
Protomanni says strong winds pulled down trees and limbs, causing downed wires, and in some cases hydro polls.
Protomanni says Hydro One and Westario crews worked until about 1 this (MON) morning.
He says there may be the odd section where lines are damaged, and customers are just discovering it when they go to use power.
Those small pockets should be fixed today or tomorrow at the latest.
In the meantime, Protomanni says they continue to clean up from the storm.
According to Hydro One, before noon today (Monday) there were about 140 thousand people across Ontario without electricity, down from 230 thousand at one point.
Many in our region (7 thousand) will have power back on anywhere between noon and 10pm tonight.
Others in more remote and northern areas of the province may be waiting until mid week for electricity.
