Manager of System Reliability Pat Protomanni says they’re still trying to find the source of the problem.
He says they need to find out if the outage has been caused by problems with Westario lines or Hydro One lines.
Protomanni says they’ve received reports from Hydro One that numerous poles are down near the Douglas Point Transformer Station.
He says there are other poles and trees down as well, and they’re trying to manage all of the calls coming in.
Protomanni says they can try to find the source by patrolling lines in town, but if the problem is on Hydro One’s system, Westario customers will still be without power.
He says Hydro One’s crews are putting in an excellent effort.
