Good news for police foundations students hunting for jobs.
Over 25 hundred policing jobs will be available across the province in the next few years.
Police Chief Tom Kaye says up to 5 thousand officers will be needed by 2010.
He says if you are looking to switch careers, or enter the police force — there is no time like the present.
He adds police services across the country are looking to recruit new employees.
Police Foundations students can apply for positions, and have a job waiting for them when they graduate.
Kaye says the Owen Sound Police have just hired a new recruit , and will continue to hire more officers in the upcoming years.
He says with jobs in such high demand, they are having a hard time securing seats at the Ontario Police College.
