The rash of snowmobile thefts continues in Grey Bruce.
Grey County OPP received reports of two snowmobile thefts on the weekend — bringing to five the number of thefts in a little over a week.
Constable Steve Starr says they are concerned the thefts may be connected and will get out of control since winter is only starting.
Police are issuing some tips to prevent motorized vehicle thefts.
Park your machine in a well lit area that is highly visible.
Engrave ID numbers on your sleds as a driver’s licence number will be recognizable and track-able by police.
Consider disabling your vehicle by removing a battery, spark plug or wire.
Purchase an anti-theft device.
Lock your sled to an outbuilding or trailer.
