Kincardine Hospital Infection Control Practitioner Bente Plantt says they are taking the ban on visitors day by day, so they can’t say when they hope to change that status.
She says they closed the inpatient unit to visitors Friday afternoonafter noticing an increase in gastrointestinal illness.
Plantt says they consulted with the Grey Bruce Health Unit on the matter, which recommended the closure.
The goal is to stop the spread of the illness and Plantt says there is no cause for concern to the public.
