On Soundingboard Parade committee member Mel McGuigan says the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce Santa Claus Parade will go Saturday (DEC. 6) at 6:30pm.
McGuigan says they have close to 50-entries in the parade and there’s always the last minute ones that show up unannounced.
He says they’re welcome too.
The theme for this year is “A Christmas to Remember.”
McGuigan says from the cooperation of retailers and business people in putting on the event to those who support it by coming out to watch, he believes indeed it will be a Christmas to Remember in Kincardine.
The parade will leave the Zehr’s parking lot at the Sutton Place Mall and travel down Broadway Avenue to Queen Street where the procession will proceed south to Victoria Park where the parade ends.
At Victoria Park there will be further entertainment and light refreshments and food for everyone.
Even Santa will be staying after the parade at the park to visit with Kincardine children.
Other communities having Saturday night parades this weekend include Hanover, Nuestadt and Wiarton.
Saturday afternoon a parade is being held in Lion’s Head.
