Ben Lobb says it allows time for “cooler heads to prevail.”
He says not all Liberals were even happy with the prospect of a coalition government and some of their MP’s expressed concerns about it yesterday.
The Conservative government plans to introduce a budget on January 27th, the day after parliament resumes.
Lobb says to expect a continuation of the billions of dollars in economic stimulus investments he says the Conservatives have made in the past year.
He says investments will likely take place in the auto sector and could come in conjunction with similar announcements in the United States.
Lobb says proroguing parliament isn’t undemocratic.
He says what would have been undemocratic was the prospect of having three opposition parties forming an unelected government that included the separatist Bloc Quebecois.
