The annual Port Elgin Santa Claus Parade is tonight. It starts at 7 o clock and runs along Goderich Street.
That means road closures at Goderich and Market Streets, and at Goderich and Ivings Drive from 7 til 9.
Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce Community Relations Co-Ordinator Sally Hunt says this year’s theme is O’Christmas tree.
Hunt says there will be decorated floats, and a few bands highlighting the route, all decked out in Christmas lights to light up the night sky.
Santa Claus of course will make an appearance in the parade as well.
Hunt says you are asked to bring a canned good, which will be collected along the route, for the local food bank.
Walkerton’s Santa Claus Parade is at 7 tonight as well – it starts at the legion, and continues past the arena.
A visit with Santa can be had afterwards in the Walkerton Library Basement.
