It’s a feast fit for not just a king, but for everybody.
A community feast taking place in Owen Sound tomorrow to celebrate local food and the people who grow and produce and prepare that food.
The Field to Fork Feast is the brainchild of Rocky Raccoon Cafe chef Robin Pradhan who says this is the perfect way to celebrate authentic local food by sharing in a community meal.
The meal will be held at the Grey Granite Club begriming at 11.30 tomorrow morning and continues all day with three separate sittings with the food being prepared by chefs from area restaurants.
Pradhan says in addition there will be a silent auction to help raise funds for the Grey Bruce Agriculture and Culinary Association to help continue its work promoting local food.
He hopes this community feast will encourage more and more Grey Bruce Families to buy more locally produced food and support area farmers and restaurateurs.
Pradhan says such a shift in family eating habits will result in improved health of not just people eating the food but the health of the local economy as well.
The highlight of the Field to Fork Feast will be an address by world famous Chef Michael Stadlander.
