Constructions values declined a little in Owen Sound last month.
However the number of building permits issued in October was almost double the same period last year.
Fifty-six building permits were issued last month with a value of 1.2 million dollars.
Construction values last October were a little more than 1.5 million.
Community Development Co ordinator Sandi Parks says its just the normal fluctuation from month to month and is nothing to worry about.
In fact she says the figures that really matter…are up.
The year to date construction value sat at just under 27.5 million dollars at the end of October compared to just 24.3 million for the first 10 months of last year.
That’s an increase of 13 percent.
Parks says a couple of the major projects in October including alterations to the MTO offices and the construction of two new homes.
