An update now on the murder investigation in Dundalk.
Grey County O.P.P. say an autopsy at London Health sciences centre has determined it was blunt force trauma that claimed the life of an elderly Dundalk man.
79 year old Leonard Perrault was found dead in his apartment shortly before 3 p.m. on Remembrance Day.
It’s the first homicide in Dundalk in more than a decade.
18 year old Derek Gauvin of Dundalk is charged with Second Degree Murder and he appears in Owen Sound court today.
When police were called to Dundalk on Remembrance Day, they initially believed someone nearby was armed with a gun.
As a result, they locked down Dundalk’s two public schools and the village main street for several hours until they determined there was no threat to the general public.
