A young Owen Sound girl has placed second in a National poster contest.
Sarah McCarrel’s poster for MADD Canada has been chosen as the second best in the country.
The 10 year old student from Dufferin Public School won the Grey North Bruce MADD chapter contest and her poster was automatically entered in the National competition.
There were over 380 poster entries across Canada.
McCarrel will be honoured at tomorrow’s OHL game in Owen Sound.
She will receive a cheque for 150 dollars and her posted will be mounted professionally.
McCarrel will also open the Red Ribbon Campaign by tying red ribbons onto the hockey sticks of both team captains before the OHL game begins.
