That is because deer hunting season is underway.
The Ministry of Natural Resources has some safety reminders for both hunters and hikers alike.
The MNR says hunters are required to be wearing blaze orange clothing, and hikers shoud too.
Information Officer Debra Styles says there are some precautions you can take too.
She says keeping your dog on a leash, and staying on the path instead on venturing off will be safer this time of year.
You should also check to see if the area you’re walking in allows hunting.
Hunting is allowed on Crown land, private property with permission, and in most County forests.
Styles says Hunters must wear orange on their upper body, as well as orange headgear.
