The Owen Sound Century 21 Real Estate office has closed its doors.
The Broker of Record was John Hawkins who tells Bayshore Broadcasting news it was just too much work of late.
He says he just passed a milestone birthday and was tired of working weekends with no vacation.
Hawkins also admits it was a good time to close the doors of the 8th Street office considering the economic downturn and the slide in the real estate market at the moment.
He’s says Royal Lepage has taken over the office and he’s now a Sales Agent with them.
He says he had 14 staff at the Century 21 office and many of the sales agents have moved on to other companies.
Hawkins says Century 21 will likely re open again in Owen Sound in the future…but without him at the helm.
