One termĀ is not enough for Kevin Eccles.
The West Grey Mayor is going after a second consecutive term as the Warden of Grey County.
Eccles says the County is starting to get a handle of the social programs that got downloaded from the Province.
He says the connections between the two levels of government needs to move forward and believes that can only be done over a two-year period.
Eccles says the County recently did a strategic planning session on a number of areas including governance, economic development, and waste management.
He says he would like to continue working on those ideas.
Eccles says part of the governance review is to make the Warden serve a two-year term on a permanent basis.
He says the County is also looking at committee structures and other areas.
Eccles says he knows no one else that is in the running.
Grey County will name a Warden for 2009 at the December 2nd Council meeting.
