A Port Elgin woman has won a pink tractor.
Tanya Wolfe is the winner of the Pink Tractor raffle held by Roberts Farm Equipment in Chesley for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Owners Bruce and Brian Osterndorff decided to hold the raffle as a way to celebrate their 40th business anniversary and honour their father who died of cancer in 2004.
Wolfe’s name was drawn last weekend and she picked up the tractor with her husband yesterday.
Wolfe entered the draw at the Cops for Cancer tournament at Saugeen Golf Club.
Wolfe says she is still shocked and overwhelmed that she actually won.
Wolfe says she doesn’t know what to do with the tractor yet — but she will bring it home and show it off for awhile.
New Holland supplied the four wheel drive compact tractor, complete with mower deck and was painted pink.
It is valued at 15 thousand dollars.
Wolfe hasn’t been on a tractor before but says she will get her husband to give her some lessons since he is a “farm boy.”
During yesterday’s ceremony — Roberts Farm Equipment donated close to 30 thousand dollars to the Canadian Cancer Society from the proceeds of ticket sales.
