There is a new ad hoc committee within the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.
Saugeen Conservation Chair Doug Freiburger has been chosen to represent our part of Ontario in a taskforce looking into Climate Change.
Freiburger says he was one of two people in Saugeen Shores who applied for the position, among many others across the region.
Freiburger feels his position with Saugeen Conservation, combined with being vice-chair of Conservation Ontario make him an asset to the committee.
The goal of the newly formed taskforce is to discuss what problems are associated with Climate Change in Ontario, and what can be done to resolve those issues.
His first meeting is October 29th.
