A big night at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre in Southampton.
Last night a special reception was held to thank the many sponsors of the museum for their assistance with operations.
Director Barbara Ribey says without their support, they would not be able to offer the many exhibits and programs they do.
Ribey says the mandate of the musuem is to ensure guests leave with a positive cultural experience.
Ribey says they also gave sponsors a sneak peak into new opportunities available for them.
She says while they get first crack at those, they always welcome new individuals or businesses to jump on board.
Ribey says last night they also unveiled two new exhibits coming to the museum in 2009.
“Dinosaurs Invade Bruce County” features interactive dinosaurs that make noise and move.
The other has a local flavour, featuring lighthouses along the Bruce Coast.
The museum opened in 2005 on Victoria Street in Southampton.
