It will be a time for closure for some Walkerton residents this evening when the last and final report on the medical study into the impact of the water tragedy on peoples health.
Mayor Charlie Bagnato says the study will be released this evening at 7.30 at Walkertons Jubilee Hall by the lead researcher into the study Dr. Bill Clark.
This years study was to investigate whether heart disease and cancer can be linked to the Ecoli Outbreak.
The study will also reveal the findings of genetic analysis which is currently underway to determine is it is possible to predict who might get irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.
Mayor Bagnatto says before all this happens, there will be a special ceremony at Walkertons Water park where the doctors from the London Health Science Centre will unveil a plaque dedicated to the people of Walkerton.
He says the release of the study should being a certain degree of closure for people in the community.
Batnatto says for others still ill from the e coli tragedy, they wont be abandoned.
He says there is a special data centre set up to constantly monitor the health of these individuals and advice doctors of the treatment they may need if they fall ill.
