Two of the three young girls injured after falling off an escarpment area in Owen Sound are now seriously injured.
The incident happened in the area known as the West Rocks — across from West Hill Secondary School — around 12:40 yesterday morning).
The three girls fell 10 metres off the edge of a rock face.
A 17 year old girl is in a London hospital with serious head injuries.
Another 17 year old girl has been sent to a Windsor hospital to be treated for suspected spinal injuries.
A third girl was treated in Owen Sound for a broken ankle.
Police say numerous other teens had been in the area in what appeared to be an organized teen gathering.
It is widely believed the high school students had a party after the Friday Night football game between West Hill and OSCVI.
Two responding police officers also received injuries after slipping and falling on wet rocks during the rescue.
Owen Sound Police are continuing to investigate – but foul play is NOT suspected.
