IPM official Cheryl Leifso says they will be holding a volunteer appreciation day to honour the committee members and all the people who made 2008 plowing match a wonderful event.
She says the event will take place this Sunday at the Tara-Arran Community Centre from 3 in the afternoon until 7 in the evening.
Leifso says this will be a chance for the hundreds of volunteers to meet and talk about the highlights of this years event and also enjoy some entertainment and a dinner as well.
She says most of the volunteers just can’t believe that the event came and went so fast and was blessed with such perfect weather.
Leifso says there are still some IPM souvenirs left from the plowing match and they will be offered up for sale at the volunteer day Sunday as well.
In addition, the IPM store in Teeswater remains open from Tuesday to Fridays for anyone who wants to pick up a souvenir there as well.
