Councillor Peter Lemon is reacting to yet another departure from the DIA.
This time Ronda Nigro who took over as Promotional Co ordinator back in February.
To date that makes seven departures in seven months.
But Lemon says its just the natural ebb and flow of any organizations and there’s no sub plot.
Bayshore Broadcasting News received an anonymous email from within the DIA questioning why so many people were leaving the organization.
Lemon says Nigro’s position was a contract, fill-in position for three to six months.
He says after reviewing the job… the board decided to turn it into an Executive Assistant’s position which required new qualifications.
In fact, he says they’ll be doing the same review of the Manager’s position in which John Quinn took over back in March.
He too, was hired on an interim basis and will also have the opportunity to re apply for the job.
Councillor Lemon believes the DIA is becoming much more stable and he’s impressed with the direction its headed and the expected growth over the coming year.
