Now that the Grey Bruce Health Unit has moved into a new building on Owen Sound’s waterfront, some of the furnishings from the old building are going on the auction block.
A public auction will be held today of office furnishings, workstations and accessories.
The public is welcome to preview the items starting at 9 AM this morning in the former office at 920 1st Avenue West.
The auction gets underway at 10 AM.
Once the items in the building are sold, the sale will move to the Health Unit’s additional office space in the Nortowne Plaza.
The preview there begins at 2 PM.
There will be furnishings up for sale in Suites 204 and 206 at about 3 PM.
The auction is being carried out by Jim Snider’s Sydenham Auction and Appraisal Service.
Health Unit staff will also be busy today holding an Open House at their new facility.
The public is invited to check out the new surroundings at 101-17th Street East in Owen Sound from noon until 3 PM.
Visitors can learn about the green design initiatives in the new Public Health facilities.
They can also re-acquaint themselves with the available programs and services
