President and CEO Duncan Hawthorne presented a cheque for 50 thousand dollars to Saugeen Shores Mayor Mike Smith and Councillor Jane Barber earlier this month.
Smith says Bruce Power supported the clinic in Southampton and is thankful that they came up with the money for the Port Elgin clinic.
He says they are well known for helping communities with their health care needs.
Bruce Power had made a similar contribution to the Paisley Medical Clinic in 2007.
As for the Port Elgin clinic, Smith says the two new doctors and the three existing ones have settled into their new building.
He says there is still work being done on the exterior and parts of the interior but the facility is in operation.
