Autumn is now officially here and our weather specialist John Wilson says we can expect normal fall weather.
Wilson says there are no extreme effects that we should be worried about.
The normal autumn highs are 13 in October, 6 in November and 0 in December.
The normal overnight lows are 4 in October, minus 1 in November and minus 7 in December.
Wilson notes our region does get its fair share of autumn precipitation.
In fact, the average amount is 300 millimetres — and that includes 164 centimetres of autumn snow.
The average first frost is October 15th.
Winter doesn’t officially begin until December 21st.
