The elementary school was extensively remodelled over the summer months to bring it up to date.
Manager of Plant Services with the Bluewater District School Board, Al Gibb says they renovated 29 thousand square feet, replaced the roof, put in energy efficient windows and new air conditioning.
At this point, some paving needs to be done in the parking lot near the end of September.
Gibb says the 2.3 million dollar job was done on time and within budget.
Originally, the plan was to reduce the size of the school by about 4 thousand square feet — but it was more cost effective to renovate.
There are 165 students at Lucknow Central.
