Event fundraising Co ordinator, Karen Neerhoff says they had 26 teams enter the all night event on Friday at Victoria Park… raising more than 80 thousand dollars.
Neerhoff says it was a little bit cool overnight but otherwise it was great weather for the 12 hour walk.
Money raised at the event goes to cancer research.
It was hard to compete with last year’s figures…a banner year for the Owen Sound event when 46 teams registered raising more than 107 thousand dollars.
The next Relay for Life event is this Friday night in Hanover.
