The 10th Anniversary Owen Sound Celtic Festival is over for another year.
Celtic Festival organizers seem pleased with the way this years event went.
For the first time in a decade, they held the festivities at Grey Root Museum just south of Owen Sound rather than downtown.
There were quite a few changes this time around. The event went with the tatoo format rather than the pipe band parade.
Five local bands took part from Kincardine to Owen Sound and Collingwood.
The Celtic Festival also featured highland dancing, celtic bands and singers and a number of artisans displaying their celtic wares.
All the period buildings at the museum were open for viewing and many of the musicians performed concerts in the big barn.
Also new this year was the admission of $20 per person which did keep the crowds down quite a bit but organizers say after losing money year after year they had to try something different.
For those who did turn up, they were certainly treated to a day of Celtic sounds and tastes, and even traditional Scottish weather.
